Creatio Collective is a nonprofit community dedicated to fostering Christian creativity rooted in deep theological vision. We believe that creativity is a sacred gift, woven into the image of God. When we write, paint, compose, build, or imagine, we participate in worshipful sub-creation: the uniquely human privilege of making that reflects the beauty, order, and imagination of our Creator. We cultivate Christian creativity through three key activities: Community, Collaboration, and Celebration.
We host gatherings in which artists can connect with one another and grow in their faith. We believe that "it is not good that man should be alone," in any endeavor. As such, we work to create spaces for spiritual formation and personal connection. Our programs include creative cohorts and workshops that develop both skill and theological vision.
We partner with local churches, nonprofits, and cultural organizations to integrate theologically rich creative programming into the life of the Triangle. Through open studios, collaborative projects, and public exhibitions, we create spaces where art and faith flourish together; spaces that artists, the Church, and the world beyond.
We cultivate a culture that celebrates creativity as a faithful response to God’s generosity. Through publications, exhibitions, performances, and showcases, we honor artistic work at every stage, from amateur to professional. We believe creativity is not the gift of a few for the benefit of the many, but a joyful calling shared by our whole community: offered with humility, practiced with care, and received with gratitude as we seek to glorify and delight in the beauty of God’s creation.
